The Constitution (Amendment) Bill 2025 is amended to strengthen the
principle of separation of powers among the executive, legislative
and judiciary branches within the country’s governance system.
This amendment facilitates the drafting and implementation of the
Parliamentary Services Bill 2025, which grants Parliament autonomous
authority over administrative, financial and human resources matters.
Amend Articles 56, 57, 65 and introduce a new clause (5A).

New clause (5A) – Allows members of the Parliamentary Services
Commission to hold office without being disqualified.

Article 65 makes provisions for the appointment of the Secretary of the
Senate and the House of Representatives.
