The Bumiputera Economic Transformation Plan 2035 (PuTERA35)
was launched, aiming to encourage bumiputeras to continue to
thrive and play an important role in the country’s socio-economic
development.
PuTERA35 target by 2035.
The contribution of bumiputera companies to the Gross
Domestic Product (GDP) increased to 15 percent.
The participation and dominance of bumiputera through
the activities of Government-Linked Companies (GLCs)
and Government-Linked Investment Companies (GLICs)
increased to 20 percent.
The percentage of bumiputera graduates in the labour force
increased to 97 percent.
