MINISTER'S FOREWORD
The publication of this Malaysia 2018 :
The Official Yearbook is an important
approach steered by the Department of
Information Malaysia which act as a
primary reference on the national policy
planning and direction in the future.
On top of that, the publication of this
book is capable to gives a
comprehensive picture about Malaysia
albeit the content of this book only
includes a brief history of the country and
state profile, the Malaysian constitution
and ruling system, economic reports and
the achievements of all ministries.
The contents of this book covers the
data collected since May until December
2018.
Malaysia captured a new history in 2018 when Pakatan Harapan has successfully
took the government office and established a new line up of the Malaysian
Government after winning in the stunning outcome of the 14th general election.
I would like to take this opportunity to assert the government's commitment to
continually strive to strengthen our efforts to support Department of Information
Malaysia in marketing the government policy and its development achievement as
well as keeping in touch with the people.
Congratulations to the Department of Information Malaysia on its effort to publish
Malaysia 2018: The Official Yearbook, which suffice and coincide with its role parked
under the Ministry of Communications and Multimedia Malaysia in disseminating
authentic and accurate information.
I am proud of the commitment and the spirit of teamwork provided by all parties in
realising the documentation of this book. May the efforts and dedication of the
Department of Information Malaysia in pursuing this educational publication continue
to be used by all parties in disseminating the information towards the public.
