RODUCTION
The establishment of the Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development is a
manifestation of the country’s commitment to be held at the Fourth World Women’s Conference
in Beijing in 1995 as contained in the Basis of Action for the Advancement of Women in 2000:
“The creation of a complete Ministry reflects the Government’s high commitment to
increasing the dignity of women in the country”
ACTIVITIES &
ACHIEVEMENTS
I-SURI PROGRAMME
Since its inception on 15 August 2018 until 30 November 2019 (one year
of implementation), the number of target groups who have registered
i-Suri is 138,301, which is 48.04 percent of the 321,313 target groups eligible
to apply for i-Suri. Of the total number of i-Suri members registered as
of 30 November 2019, 84.1 percent or 116,318 members made individual
contributions to qualify for Government incentives of RM40 per month or
RM480 per annum credited to the i-Suri member EPF account.
According to the statistics of implementation of this program starting The Suri or i-Suri Voluntary Contribution Volunteer Program was launched by YAB Dato’ Seri
