RODUCTION
The Ministry of Finance (MOF) holds a number of major roles which are to develop economic
policy and Malaysia’s federal budget and act as the leading strategic authority enabling financial and
economic outcome to ensure sustainable growth and prosperity for the people and the nation.
In addition, The MOF also oversees financial legislation and regulation. The Minister of Finance will hold the responsibility to present the Malaysia’s
federal budget in the Parliament every year. The Ministry’s main objective is to ensure sustainable and continuous economic growth, strengthen national
competitiveness and economic resilience, ensure effective and prudent financial management, pursue a more equitable sharing of national wealth and
improve the quality of life and well-being of the society.

INVEST MALAYSIA 2019
Invest Malaysia 2019 15th edition: Capital Market Forum hosted by Bursa
Malaysia and Maybank under the theme ‘Ambition. Purpose. Clarity’
was held on March 19, 2019 at the Shangri-La Hotel Kuala Lumpur.
The forum was attended by 2746 participants from various corporate
industry entrepreneurs including banking, plantation, automotive,
construction, oil and gas, real estate and telecommunications.
Further, the opening speech was delivered by Prime Minister, YAB YAB Prime Minister, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad delivered the keynote address and
Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohmad. He then attended a question-and-answer launched Invest Malaysia 2019.
session organized by the Chairman of Bursa Malaysia.
