RODUCTION
Adhering to the vision of the Ministry which wants to make entrepreneurship one of the main agendas
of the country, the Ministry of Entrepreneur Development (MED) will always create a holistic and
conducive entrepreneurial ecosystem to support the inclusive, balanced and sustainable national
entrepreneurship development agenda in line with the MED mission.
ACTIVITIES & The three-day programme, with the participation of 300 exhibitors,
ACHIEVEMENTS received over 10,000 visitors. The event recorded RM135 millions of sales
garnered from 223 business matching sessions and RM 300,000 cash sales.
MALAYSIA HALAL EXPO 2019 (MHE2019)
The Ministry of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives (MEDAC)
has organized the Malaysian Halal Expo 2019 (MHE2019) on 24 until
26 January 2019 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Center (KLCC) with the
aim of promoting halal products and services as an initiative for investment
and trade between Malaysia and Japan.
The Opening Ceremony was officiated by YB Datuk Seri Mohd Redzuan
Yusof, Minister of Entrepreneur Development. Themed “Malaysia to Japan
for 2020 Olympics”, MHE2019 was a follow-up to the Memorandum of
Cooperation (MoC) on Halal between the Government of Malaysia and
Japan which was signed on 26 November 2018. The MoC is an effort to
ensure that the Malaysian halal industry are able to penetrate the Japanese
market during of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics Games and 2020 Tokyo
Paralympic Games.
