Ambang 2020 @ Kuala Lumpur is a grand celebration combining a few events including the Malaysian Christmas Open House Ambang 2020 @ Kuala Lumpur aimed at
which is organised annually at the national level by the Ministry of Tourism, Arts & Culture (MOTAC). fostering unity and understanding within
the multi-racial community, lighting up the
spirit of the “New Malaysia” towards 2020,
while establishing cordial relations between
the leaders and the rakyat.
At the same time, the event highlighted the
tradition of celebrating festivals such as
Christmas in Malaysia as part of tourism
attractions, national arts and culture; and the
launch of the Visit Malaysia 2020 campaign.
The programme served as a good platform
for providing exposure and understanding
to the public including foreign tourists about
Malaysian culture, traditions and customs
practised in a diverse yet harmonious society.
The celebration received the full cooperation
from the Ministry of Federal Territories
through Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL)
and the Ministry of Communications
and Multimedia Malaysia through Radio
Televisyen Malaysia (RTM). The event
recorded 10,000 spectators who were at the
Merdeka Square, Kuala Lumpur.
The programme also involves the launch of Visit Malaysia Year Campaign 2020, with fireworks, concert performance by RTM
and special show of 200 drones featuring iconic images as symbols of Malaysian identity.
