Trooping the Colour Ceremony 2018
Trooping the Colour or “Istiadat Mengarak Panji-Panji Seri Paduka“ ceremony
was held on 12 September 2018 at Dataran Pahlawan Negara, Putrajaya. The
ceremonial pledge of allegiance of the Armed Forces (ATM) as a symbol of
honor, sovereignty and grandeur, the unwavering enthusiasm and loyalty of the
ATM to the King and the nation. It was also held in conjunction with the birthday
of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong.
Upon the King’s arrival, the national anthem was played, followed by a 21-gun
salute from the 14th Battery, Royal Artillery Regiment, led by Mejar Mohd Asri
Che Wil. The King then ascended a special dais to take the royal salute from
the guard of honour mounted by 28 officers and 550 personnel from the three
branches of the armed forces, led by commanding officer of the first battalion,
Royal Malay Regiment Lt-Kol Mohd Radzi Othman.
