RODUCTION
In 2019, the Ministry of Rural Development has achieved few milestones by introducing various rural
development programs and activities themed “Rural Well-Being. The efforts has been implemented
with various targeted programs that benefit the rural population in general.

LAUNCHING OF RURAL DEVELOPMENT POLICY
2030
Rural Development Policy has focused on the vision of “The prosperas rural,
Inclusive, Sustainable and Holistic Rural” as the main agenda of the rural
development process in Malaysia by 2030.
Through this KPLB, the government is committed to bridging and
subsequently eliminating urban and rural quality of life, creating
economic opportunities and creating a conducive social environment and
environment to attract rural people especially youths to remain and prosper
in rural area.
The Prime Minister of Malaysia, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad has launched Rural Development
Policy 2030 on 27 June 2020.
