present, there are 613 Kampung Baru including Kampung Bagan
and Kampung Rangkaian. Various current topics were discussed in the
convention involving 15 experienced leaders focusing on 8 main aspects:-

National Community Policy;

History and way forward of Kampung Baru;

Women Empowerment; The convention gathered almost 800 MPKK chairmen dan secretaries from all over
Security Management; Malaysia that allign with KPKT aspiration to empower MPKK’s roles and responsibilities in
Education, Arts and Culture; administrating and developing New Village. New Village was established under Emergency
Community Finance Aid; Ordinan (Briggs Plan).
Community Environmental Management;
MPKK roles and responsibilities. Among the leaders who shared their experiences in this convention are
YB Ng Sze Han, Chairman of Selangor Local Authorities, Public Transport
and New Village Development Committee and YB Ginie Lim, Chairman of
Malacca Women, Welfare and Rural Area Development Committee.

This convention gives the opportunity for the MPKK to interact with village
community and play significant role to involve the community in country
development. In addition, this convention also gives exposure for the
MPKK to conduct their responsibilities efficiently, effectively, uprightness,
accountably and ready to serve for the village community wellbeing.
