OPENING CEREMONY OF THE PILOT PROJECT OF
NATIONAL FIBERISATION AND CONNECTIVITY PLAN
(NFCP)
In an effort to evaluate the technical, safety and reliability aspects of the
National Fiberisation and Connectivity Plan (NFCP), the Ministry of
Communications and Multimedia (KKMM) has collaborated with Tenaga
Nasional Berhad (TNB) to carry out a pilot project at the Majlis Perbandaran
Jasin, Melaka on 8 January 2019.
Under this initiative, a total of 1,100 homes in three areas in Taman Merbau, YB Tuan Gobind Singh Deo, Minister of Communications and Multimedia with YB Kerk
Taman Maju and Felda Kemendor are able to enjoy high speed internet up Chee Yee, Melaka State Communications, Multimedia, Youth Development and Sports
to 1Gbps. The outcome of the pilot project will be scrutinised as a whole for Exco test the internet speed at one of the residents’ houses in Felda Kemendor.
