The history of Perlis began in 1821 with the local Agriculture Mining &
people rising against the Siamese invasion of Quarrying
Kedah. As a result of the incident the Siamese 21.7%
retreated and local rulers were given the 0.6%
power to rule Kedah, Setul, Kubang Pasu, and
Perlis. Raja Long Krok was appointed as the
Governor of Perlis. The Deputy Governor at
that time was Syed Hussin Jamalullail. This
was a pivotal historical point for Perlis as it was
during this time that it received recognition
from being a colony to a vassal state.
