THE FEDERAL TERRITORY
OF PUTRAJAYA
The Federal Territory of Putrajaya was officially declared on 1st February 2001.
Putrajaya is strategically located at a distance of 24 kilometres south of Kuala
Lumpur and 20 kilometres north of Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA),
Sepang. The Federal Government's administrative center was transferred to
Putrajaya aimed at reducing the focus of solid population, traffic congestion,
socio-political gap and socio-economic.
