SUMMARY OF MINISTRIES Rukun Tetangga Economy Carnival & National J-Nita 2018
The Rukun Tetangga Economy Carnival and National J-Nita 2018 was held for
the first time which served as a platform to gain knowledge and experience of the
Rukun Tetangga and Jiran Wanita committees in the area of entrepreneurship. At
the same time, it was to expand business network to further increase marketing
opportunity for products and services produced. These economic projectswould
help increase household income and raise the families’ level of economy to create
prosperity of local communities.
The programme took place on 5 and 6 October 2018 at Dataran Syahbandar
Kuala Terengganu, Terengganu. It is also an initiative of the Department of
National Unity and Integration to create a platform for the department to highlight
the special features of Rukun Tetangga which has existed since 1975. The
programme’s objective is to foster and strengthen unity while highlighting the
elements of diversity through economic development in the community as well as
promoting the products / services that RukunTetangga so as to be continuously
developed and grown. It is one of the efforts to make a positive impact in
generating income for Rukun Tetangga nationwide while supporting small and
medium-sized entrepreneurs from amongst the members of Rukun Tetangga and
J-Nita to help generate income for their families and the communities. It also
develops ideas, skills and knowledge by creating a collaboration network that will
push existing efforts to a greater height.
