SUMMARY OF MINISTRIES Malaysia Commercialisation Year (MCY) 2018
The Malaysia Commercialisation Year (MCY) 2018 programme took place from
17 to 20 October 2018 at Kuala Lumpur Convention Center (KLCC) in conjunction
with the International Green Tech & Eco-Products Exhibitions & Conferences
Malaysia (IGEM) 2018.
Various cluster programmes related to entrepreneurship and commercialisation
were held, including the MCY Awards 2018, MCY Special KPI 30 Product /
Technology Exhibition 2018, product launches, Memorandum of Understanding
(MoU) and Memorandum of Understanding (MoA) signing, Angels on the Plane,
Stargazer Mentoring, MCY Chat, Young Innovation Commercialisation
Programme, Young Innovation Development Training Workshops and Minister
Dialogue Session with Young Innovators.
MCY is a programme that highlights the Government's efforts in strengthening the
research, development, commercialisation and innovation ecosystem towards
sustainable development and the continuation of the commercial value chain.
MCY was also conceived as a platform to raise awareness of the stakeholders
and the public on the importance and potential of innovation and
commercialisation to increase national income.
YB Puan Yeo Bee Yin, Minister of Energy, Science, Technology, Environment and
Climate Change and Datuk Seri Dr. Mohd Azhar bin Hj Yahaya, Secretary-General,
MESTECC with the top winners in the five categories of MCY 2018: Commercialisation
Achievement Award, New Innovation Award, Research and Business Collaboration
Award, Research Entrepreneur Award and Social Entrepreneur Award
