ACTIVITIES IN MINISTRY OF HEALTH MALAYSIA 7 | SUMMARY OF MINISTRIES
National World Aids Day Celebration 2018
The 2018 World AIDS Day Celebration was held on 2 December 2018 at
Warehouse@Kilang Bateri, Johor Bharu, Johor. It was officiated by YB Dr. Lee
Boon Chye, Deputy Minister of Health. The theme of the celebration was "Know
the Status, Get the Treatment" which was in line with the country’s aim to
eliminate AIDS by 2030.
December 1st is chosen as World AIDS Day which is celebrated worldwide to
raise awareness about HIV infection as well as the prevention and treatment
measures towards eliminating AIDS by 2030. At the same time, it is also a
platform for all parties to renew their commitment and determination to strengthen
their collective efforts in addressing HIV / AIDS infections.

Launch Of Active Life Campaign: When Active Living Kicks (WALK) 2018
The Prime Minister YAB Tun Dr. Mahathir bin Mohamad launched the Ministry of
Health’s Active Life Campaign: When Active Living Kicks (WALK) National
Ranking 2018 on 3 November 2018 at Oval Lawn, Setia City Park, Setia Alam,
Selangor. This campaign is an initiative of the Ministry of Health to reinforce the
practice of physical activities amongst Malaysians. WALK campaign is in line with
WHO's effort to keep Malaysians active in preventing NCD-related diseases.
The book on National Strategic Plan For Active Living was launched during the launch of Active Life Campaign:
